PRAYER FOR MERCY 1

Today, as we go out on this first day of this new week in this month of Divine Mercy, may the mercy of the LORD be renewed over us and all that concerns us in Jesus Name! May we find mercy in all we do, may mercy speak on our behalf, may God out of His abundant mercies fight every battle that has been set in array against us this day. May The Lord  have mercy on us and bless us, in Jesus Mighty Name! Amen! Good morning and the mercy of God intervene in all you do  today in Jesus Name! Amen!

MERCY TO LIVE STRONG

There are times we feel as though the whole world is on our shoulders and everything has come to a standstill and literally we are letting go. Life becomes a burden, everything and everyone becomes irritating to us. We even tend to misunderstand gestures and communications, hmm... Even at that point of low esteem and worth, God's mercy somehow finds a way to locate us and show us that we are not alone. There is nothing we are going through that someone, somewhere in time past has not been through. The good news is, many of them came out victorious. You can too! A songwriter wrote these lines in his song, "God's mercy kept me so I wouldn't let go." Today, let us be encouraged and never let go because God's mercies are renewed every day. There is fresh mercy for a fresh challenge. Good morning and the mercy of God locate and bless you in Jesus Name! Amen! God bless you.

TWO SIDES OF MERCY

The mercy of God is double edged. On one  side He shows His love towards us, manifest His great wonders towards us, enable His protection over us, upholding us and enabling us to pass through storms of life. While on the other side, He deals with our enemies, removes obstacles whether humans or demons from our path and rescues us from those enemies that are greater than us. The Psalmist in Psalm 136 gave a clear picture of the Mercy of God towards us.  Psalms 136:1-26 [1]O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. [2]O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. [3]O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. [4]To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. [5]To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. [6]To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. [7]To him that made great lights: for his merc...

HOPE RESTORED!

Image
"Jesus was on His way to a town called Nain. His disciples and a large crowd were traveling with Him. Just as He neared the gate of the town, a dead man was being carried out. He was his mother's only son, and she was a widow. A large crowd from the city was also with her. When the LORD saw her, He had compassion on her and said  Don't cry." Luke 7:11-13 Today so many good things are dying in our lives, communities, schools, Nation, place of Job, and so on.  This widow was helpless. The only person she had has been taken away by death.  Her hope was stolen, her joy turned to sadness, her light became darkened because all she had left lay in a coffin ready to be buried. But thank God Jesus came through that way. Jesus saw her and knew her situation and He had compassion (Mercy) on her and brought her dead son back  to life  and gave him to his mother! Luke 7:14-15.  Hallelujah! Today I pray for us that Jesus will see all the dead areas of our lives and have ...

MAXIMIZING ENCOUNTERS

Image
While Jesus was traveling to Jerusalem, He passed between Samaria and Galilee. As He entered a village, 10 men with serious skin diseases met Him, they stood at a distance and raised their voices, saying " Jesus, master, have mercy on us!" Luke 17:11-12 There are life challenges that could be so serious like the diseases of those men, that would make us stay far away from people. Situations that have made us lose loved ones, family and friends because we don't want to hear their analysis of our situations. At times we are so overwhelmed with problems that we can not pray. But one thing is sure, when we call on Jesus to have Mercy on us He surely will! Verse 14 of Luke 1, "when He saw them, He told them, Go and show yourselves to the priests. And while they were going, they were healed." These 10 men saw an opportunity to encounter divine mercy and rook it. They stood afar, yet their faith stretched towards the master. When He saw this he had mercy on them and he...

POSITIONED FOR ENCOUNTER

Image
Bartimaeus the son of Timaeus was a blind man sitting by the road begging. But one day something happened. Jesus came passing by and when he inquired, he was told that Jesus Christ was passing by.  This young man had to cry out for mercy, he said, "Jesus thou son of David have mercy on me!" Even when the crowd tried to hush him, he shouted the more. He had positioned himself for an encounter and no one was going to stop him. He shouted until Jesus heard and called him to come.  At the end of it all the people that hushed him where the ones that told him "have courage! Get up; He is calling  for you". He went and got his healing. This could be seen in the Book of Mark 10:46-52. As we call on Jesus Christ to have mercy on us amidst other voices and situations trying to shout us down. He will hear us and have mercy and meet us at that point of our needs no matter what  they are in Jesus Name! Amen! Position yourself for divine encounters today.

Be Encouraged

In life, there are times we feel as though if we have wings we will fly away like a bird to somewhere were we can find rest because the challenges of life are becoming some how unbearable, to make the matter worst we are surrounded by people who claim to be our friends but they are the ones directly or indirectly betraying us in this life's journey. Ooo the Psalmist has been there and though he started by telling God to listen to his prayers and don't ignore his plea for help, this is found in the Book of Psalm 55. Infact at our spear time, I encourage us to read to the  end. He got to a point he desired to have  wings   like a dove ! So that he would fly to rest. In verse 12-14 here he said and I quote" Now, it is not an enemy who insults me-- otherwise I could bear it;  It is not a for who rises up against me-- otherwise I could hide from him. But it is you, a man (woman emphasis mine) who is my peer, my companion and good friend!  We used to have c...

Encouragement

Image
I Encourage You! Good morning beloved,  I trust we had a great weekend? Glory to God. Let's look at Psalm 102 We will look at some of the verses, at your own time, you could read the whole chapter. 1. LORD, hear my prayer; let my cry for help come before you. 2. Do not hide your face from me in my day of trouble. Listen closely to me; answer me quickly when I call. 3. For my days vanish like smoke, and my bones burn like a furnace. 8. My enemies taunt me all day long; they ridicule and curse me. 9. I eat ashes like bread and mingle my drinks with tears 10. because of your indignation and wrath; for you have picked me up and thrown me aside. 13. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her, the appointed time has come. What a powerful prayer from the psalmist. He captured the feeling we get when things don't go our way.  He understands that there are times we feel that God has hidden his face from us. When we pass through times when we might j...

Month of Divine Laughter

The Book of Psalm 56 has important message to pass across to us, so I will quote some of the verse and we could read the rest later at our own time. 1. Be gracious to me, God, for man tramples  me; he fights and oppresses me all day long. 2. My adversaries trample me all day, for many arrogantly fight against me. 5.They twist my words all day long; all their thoughts are against me for evil. 6. They stir up strife, they lurk: they watch my steps while they wait to take my life. 8. You Yourself have recorded my wanderings. Put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your records? 9. Then my enemies will retreat on the day when I call. This I know: God is for me. The Psalmist knew very well that on this earth adversaries must surly rise up to cause us one harm or another. These adversaries  are not only human being, some of us has been sold off to them by our ancestors by the kind of worship they engaged in before we were born, other adversaries could be witch craft attac...

WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY

When You Can't Take It Anymore! Guest post by Pastor Daniel Chukwunonso Akachukwu Scripture Reading "You'll live by your sword, hand-to-mouth, and you'll serve your brother. But WHEN YOU CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE YOU'LL BREAK LOOSE AND RUN FREE." Gen. 27:40 MSG Bible Study From the above text, it is quite clear that whatever is happening to a man or around a man can only last as long as that individual permits it.  Isaac said to his son Esau, "you'll live by your sword, hand-to-mouth (that's a very hard life for one to lead, it means that he will always be in struggles, laboring and sweating only just to feed and not to accumulate wealth nor gather riches); you'll be a servant to your brother."  With all the labors and sweats and struggles that Esau was meant to put up with, he was also to serve his younger brother Jacob, what an error!  But the thing is this; even though it's a decreed event or process that must surely be, Isaac the...

Bible Verse for the day

Bible verse For the Day: Today's Bible verse is an assurance of God's consistent love for us. We all have been in situations where we feel so much hated, rejection and suspicious; a place where we are misunderstood, criticized, marginalized, and treated as second class.  Our Bible verse for the day is prayerfully selected to bring you confidence when people scorn you, give you hope when others try to make you feel hopeless, tells you you have an all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present friend even when you feel alone and lost. As you read this covenant promises, I pray for you to rise above every limit set before you today in Jesus' Name. Amen. Isaiah 43:1-2 [1]But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob[Insert your Name], and he that formed thee, O Israel[Insert your family name here], Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. [2]When [I] thou passest through the waters, I [God] will be with thee[me]; and through th...

Bible Verse of the Day

Image
BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY Hi, are you feeling discouraged and need a word from the Lord that will answer that burning question of your heart? Do you flip through the Bible not really knowing where and how to find that one word from God to start your day? I will be prayerfully giving you a word from Gods word every day to help you stay strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, and I will help you keep on the whole amour of God you have put on because the battles ahead need us to unite in prayer against the wiles and devices of the devil and his cohorts from hades. Our verse for today is Psalms 91:1-16 "[1]He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2]I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [3]Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. [4]He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth sha...

DO NOT DENY THE FAITH

Image
Weekly Bible Study Lesson 2 Do not deny the Faith Bible Verse “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the father; but he that acknowledge the Son hath the Father also.” 1 John 2:23 KJV “Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the father either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” 1 John 2:23 NLT No one who denies the Son has any part with the father, but affirming the Son is an embrace of the father as well.” 1 John 2:23 MSG TAKE A STAND 1. Have I ever denied Christ by my actions or words? _____________________. 2. What 3 popular ways do people compromise in this area? (a) ________________, (b) __________________, (c) __________________. We have heard of how some parents deny (disown) their children and vice versa for one reason or another? Or heard of people who deny their faith in the face of Death and Persecution? When we find ourselves in the slightest danger do we throw in the towel and deny Christ to gain acceptance? Ask yourself today; Have you come to...

Adam and Eve Part 2: Adam speaks Today, our world is filled with the betrayal of trust, inconsistency, impatience, lack of forbearance, and a rush to cast out the other. In the second but concluding part of our interview with Adam and Eve, Adam shares his experiences and the lessons that kept him going. Welcome to ADAM & EVE PART 2. Adam: I was struck with awe when I opened my eyes for the first time to see how beautiful the earth was, the green was green, the red was red and all the colors were just right. Nothing was wrong, nothing was ugly it was share beauty and truly the masterpiece of a genius creator. I can't forget matching the grass as the feeling, yes, ticking feeling under my feet. I was struck dumb when the creator asked me to name all the animals.  At once, their names came to me like the wind, I began to call them names and as I did, I felt so in tune with the creator, like he spoke through my lips.  But while I was in my euphoria, he saw an emptiness in my s...
