Running into trouble

Hebrews 10:31  "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

A week ago after all my travels, I called a friend and told him I'll be visiting him. I badly needed the rest and going to spend quality time getting the word was my ideal way of resting.

Anyway one thing led to another and I couldn't travel. I didn't also call my friend because I felt I'd be there the next day. Throughout last week the rains became unfriendly and to cut long story short, I didn't go as planned!

He called me on Sunday night and we rescheduled and the day came, it was raining! This time I didn't allow the rains hinder me. I got set and left the house to the park; yes I don't have a car now, still considering what type to drive, I have high taste.
Well this writeup is not about cars nor myself its about what happened next!

It took me a few hours to get a bus and with the help of my friends in the park, I paid lesser than most passengers. I began to talk with the bus conductor and a drummer and we has good conversation and became temporal friends until we got to the Military Checkpoint.

Our bus was pulled over and the officer walked aggressively to our driver, opened his palm and asked him "who get this number?" The driver said "Na my own Sir!" Instantly a slap landed on his chest. The army man commanded him to get down from the car as he asks "you don enter my terrain, for here Na me be the king of this jungle, you don buy job." He asked us politely to come down from the bus, trust us, we had to ask why. The man in kaki told us "this idiot no wan make returns for im Oga, e carry moto for two weeks and the Oga cry call us make we track am down, thank God e no escape us today."

We came down from that bus and one by one the kind officers put us in other vehicles to our destination.
When I arrived Calabar, at my host house, I began to pounder on the event and I wondered within me "how many times do I make returns to God each day?"

Many of us have ran into trouble because we take the Glory that belongs to God, we take the praises due to his name, we talk too highly about ourselves and forget the God who has called us to Minister. We draw doctrinal conclusions and lead many people into worshipping us as though we are some truly great men.

One day, we will all arrive that checkpoint, where our details will be shown to us for confirmation.
What will you do then? Your connections, charisma, confidence, followers, bodyguards and everything you know cannot save you from that day. And like the kaki man said "you don buy job!"

Start making returns now, your life is given you on trust, Brother, Sister, make returns! Your beauty, height, skin color, eye color, curves, elegance, money, affluence, everything you think of is given to you to trade with and make returns, but are you a runaway? Do you so much feel God is taking too much space? Demanding what he has not given? Maybe you feel you're self made? There is no such thing as a self made man my Friend, you will run into trouble thinking that way.

Someone may be trying to avoid the God of the Bible and create a god for themselves that suits their present state, your next journey may take you to that checkpoint Sir/Ma, call on the owner of your life today! Romans 10:13. Only he can save! Believe on Jesus Christ, Acts 16:31. His love has not changed. God still loves you John 3:16. He want to give you a new identity 2 Corinthians 5:17. He trully wants to call off and cancel the arrest warrant issued against you, Colossians 2:14.
What is your choice?
