POWER OF THE PROPHETIC PT1
Text: 2Kings 7:1-8

Famine resulted from the long period of siege upon the State
of Samaria. Women ate their children to survive. Men ate all manner of unclean
and forbidden beasts just to survive.
The king seeing his people being brought to the level of
wild animals, and many of them were being destroyed right before his eyes, took
one of the hardest decisions any God fearing king in his day would have taken.
He wanted the prophet killed since that is the only way to
tell God he has had enough. He was tired of the crimes, cannibalism, and other
things too despicable going on in his kingdom.
The king wanted to hold someone accountable; who else should
be guiltless but God?
His assault on the servant of God began an exciting journey
in the restoration of that kingdom.
As the Killer (assassin) set out to the prophet’s house,
there was already a consultation by the elders of the land with the prophet for
a way out of the problem. When the prophet picked up the Spiritual signal that
he was to be killed for the crimes committed due to his earlier benevolence to
the Syrians, he immediately spoke powerful words that would end months of
violent crimes against God and Man. 24 hours miracle was declared because
heaven was about to lose a prophet and a voice very strategic to the move of
God. Heaven dispatched angelic host into Camp Syria to end the siege because a
servant of Jehovah’s life was being threatened by the crown.
To fully unlock the power of the prophetic, the prophet must
realize that he is at the end of his rope. It is either heaven answers now or
lose a voice.
The prophet spoke those words without calculating the odds
of the manifestation or confirmation.
- - He had no Spies or secret army awaiting his signal to attack
- - He understands his prophetic office comes with the backing of angelic host.
- - He activated the supernatural when the king and kingdom would fear, honor and serve the living God.
The four lepers at the gate had only one duty; to walk into
an empty camp and report back to the city.
The driving away of the Syrians was not a result of their
footstep being divinely amplified as many supposed. Read again for yourself on
this “They rose up in the twilightto go unto
the camp of the Syrians.” 2 Kings 7:5 and “They rose and fled in thetwilight and left their tents.”
2Kings 7:7 the key to all this lies in Verse 6. Hear this; “For the LORD…”
When a prophet speaks, The Lord moves, causes, creates,
establishes, performs and works. Yes, because a prophet had spoken.
When a prophet remains in his office and does not allow the people
push him back and forth, then the Lord will honor him when He Speaks.
